I’m afraid I don’t really know anything about rental costs in Las Terrenas because we own our house, but there are lots of rental agencies in town including one run by a friend of ours: www.dreamstorealty.net where you could look at what’s available and at what price. It all depends on location and amenities and length of stay, just like anywhere. As to work opportunities, again since I work from home as a writer I haven’t had to investigate this but there are certainly many bars, restaurants, hotels, and shops in town so I suppose you might be able to get some work at one of those — however it wouldn’t be at a first world salary and there may be issues with working without a visa! I’d suggest getting on the “Everything Las Terrenas” Facebook group and asking questions to a broader audience who might have more pertinent advice than I do…
